National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik decided to hold the plenary session on the 2nd and 3rd instead of the 1st.
The Speaker's Office announced to the press that “the plenary sessions will be held on the 2nd and 3rd as the March extraordinary National Assembly wraps up,” adding, “the schedule for the April extraordinary National Assembly starting on April 4 will be determined through discussions between the ruling and opposition parties.”
The impeachment motion for Deputy Prime Minister Choi Sang-mok, proposed by the Democratic Party, is expected to be reported at the plenary session on the 2nd. However, it seems that the Democratic Party will deliberate on whether to vote on Deputy Prime Minister Choi's impeachment motion in closed-door Supreme Council meetings. This is due to the Constitutional Court announcing that it will deliver the ruling on President Yoon's impeachment trial at 11 a.m. on the 4th.
The ruling and opposition parties held three meetings of the floor leaders, chaired by National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik, the day before to discuss the schedule for the April plenary session and the supplementary budget, but a consensus was not reached.
