Park Chan-dae, the ruling Democratic Party's floor leader, evaluated the government's supplementary budget of ‘10 trillion’ announced the previous day, saying it is "nothing but an empty shell with no substance."

On the same day, Park noted during a meeting of the ruling and opposition party floor leaders held in the National Assembly speaker's office that "the scale is woefully insufficient for revitalizing people's livelihoods and the economy."

He said, "The government states that if both ruling and opposition parties agree to the intent of the 10 trillion won supplementary budget, it will consult with relevant ministries and submit a draft later," adding, "I am outraged beyond astonishment at the government's irresponsibility for not having prepared a supplementary budget yet, even though we demanded it months ago to overcome the crisis in people's livelihoods and the economy."

He continued, "Only more bold investments can overcome the current crisis. Instead of piecemeal measures that are just a temporary fix, I urge the government to come up with a practical and bold supplementary budget plan."
