Lee Jun-seok, a member of the Reform Party, announced that he created an image of a '250,000 won' bill to commemorate the not guilty ruling of Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, regarding his public election law appeal. This is intended to criticize the '25,000 won nationwide living support fund' that the leader touted as a key pledge.

On his YouTube live broadcast on the 26th, the lawmaker said, 'I designed a 250,000 won bill to celebrate the not guilty ruling of the leader. I entered 1,000 won, 5,000 won, and 10,000 won bills and asked to create a 250,000 won bill with a portrait of Representative Lee Jae-myung.' He revealed that the image was made using ChatGPT.

The bill features a smiling portrait of Representative Lee Jae-myung with the number 250,000 written on the right.

The lawmaker noted, 'On the other side, it says 2,500,000 won, and there are some incorrect parts in Hangul. It seems that it doesn't recognize Hangul well, but it creates well.' He also mentioned that he created images of President Yoon Suk-yeol drinking alone and of Representative Lee Jae-myung celebrating his acquittal, saying, 'It creates very well.'

The lawmaker has previously expressed opposition to Representative Lee's key pledge, the '25,000 won nationwide living support fund.' Last August, he appeared on a broadcast where he pointed out, 'All citizens are currently feeling the rise in consumer prices. In a situation where it seems like everything is going up except for my salary, if nearly 13 trillion won is released into the market, the rise in prices seems evident.'

He continued, 'For a household of four, 1,000,000 won may alleviate financial strain, but if prices rise, it ultimately becomes ineffective.' He noted, 'It is unclear where the 13 trillion won needed for the living support fund will be sourced from.'

He added, 'President Yoon has decided to increase the medical student quota from the current 3,000 by 60% to 5,000, but this numerical basis needs to be clearly explained.' Similarly, the Democratic Party must explain why the amount of 250,000 won was set.'

Regarding the not guilty ruling issued to Representative Lee, who overturned the loss of his seat in the first trial regarding allegations of violating the public election law in the second trial, the lawmaker stated, 'The result should be respected,' but also pointed out that 'the reality where lower and upper court judgments differ in criminal cases involving politicians shows the instability of the judicial system and raises concerns about the politicization of justice.'
