The Chinese Embassy in South Korea stated on the 26th regarding the controversy over the illegal installation of steel structures in the Korea-China provisional measures zone in the Yellow Sea, "China's actions comply with Chinese domestic law and international law, do not violate the Korea-China Fisheries Agreement, and do not affect the rights and interests enjoyed by the Korean side according to the agreement."

The Chinese Embassy in South Korea issued a statement from its Spokesperson on the same day, noting, "Recently, some Korean media and related departments expressed concern over China's deep-sea fishery farming facilities in the Yellow Sea, and many of those claims do not align with the facts."

The Spokesperson claimed, "The fact is that the facilities installed by the Chinese side are deep-sea fishery farming facilities located in China's coastal waters, and this is a reasonable use of marine resources by the Chinese side."

The Spokesperson said, "China has taken strict environmental protection and safety measures regarding the aforementioned deep-sea fishery and farming facilities, ensuring that they will not impact the marine environment and navigational safety."

He also expressed a desire to point out, "When China installed the relevant facilities, they had already publicly announced the news," while responding to questions from the Korean media, stating, "The situation in the Yellow Sea is stable, and both China and Korea maintain good and smooth communication regarding maritime-related differences."

He emphasized, "I want to stress that both Korean and Chinese countries maintain communication through diplomatic channels," and expressed a wish that "both sides continue to strengthen communication and enhance understanding to avoid politicizing this issue indiscriminately and to jointly make the Yellow Sea a sea of peace, friendship, and cooperation."
