Democratic Party of Korea representative Lee Jae-myung said regarding the dismissal of Prime Minister Han Duck-soo's impeachment, "I wonder if the public can understand the ruling that claims it did not reach the level of impeachment for clearly and intentionally violating a constitutional duty to establish constitutional institutions." on the 24th.

On the morning of the same day, at a Supreme Council meeting held at the Democratic Party's tent office in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, Lee stated, "Is it acceptable for the acting president to intentionally and maliciously violate a constitutional duty, which the constitution clearly defines as a duty to establish constitutional institutions?"

Lee noted that, "We cannot help but respect the Constitutional Court's decision," but added, "Our citizens face punishment and sanctions when violating any articles, whether it be the criminal code or food sanitation law." He continued, "I believe the public will judge this point (the dismissal of Han's impeachment)."

He also urged for a swift ruling on President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment, stating, "The public is unable to sleep due to Yoon Suk-yeol's illegal military coup," and that it is hard to comprehend why the Constitutional Court continues to delay the ruling in such a serious situation where martial law could start.

He stated, "The international trust of South Korea is being undermined, economic damage is increasing, and the livelihoods of citizens, including self-employed individuals, are deteriorating," and added, "Despite how much time has passed since the hearings concluded concerning the clear military coup, constitutional violations, and legal violations, the ruling date has yet to be set."

Lee also emphasized, "We are effectively moving beyond a psychological civil war into a physical civil war situation. Only a swift ruling regarding President Yoon can end this chaos and mark the first step towards normalizing South Korea again."
