Kim Dong-yeon, the governor of Gyeonggi Province, visited Kim Kyung-soo, the former governor of South Gyeongsang Province, who has been on a hunger strike for 13 days urging the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol, and said, "I hope you stop this (hunger strike)."

On the 21st, Governor Kim visited the tent where the hunger strike is taking place in front of Gwanghwamun and made his remarks. Governor Kim said, "You seem to have lost a lot of weight and energy since the last time I saw you, and I'm very worried," and added, "There is a lot to be done, so please don’t lose your health."

In response, Kim Kyung-soo said, "I will endure as long as my physical strength allows." Governor Kim replied, "I feel sorry for bothering you, so I should get up soon," and left the room.

Meanwhile, on that day, Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, also visited Kim Kyung-soo and persuaded him to end the hunger strike. Lee stated, "If you harm your health too much, how will you fight the next battle? You need to stay alive to fight." To this, Kim Kyung-soo responded, "I am not at a level where my health is compromised yet. As long as I have the strength, I plan to endure until the end."
