Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said to the Constitutional Court, “I urge you to set the ruling date today and to fulfill your duty of safeguarding the constitutional order by removing Yoon Suk-yeol as soon as possible.”

On the 21st, Park noted at a party Supreme Council meeting in Yeouido, Seoul, “It is clear that the longer the removal of Yoon Suk-yeol is delayed, the more harm the country and the people will suffer, so why is the Constitutional Court moving at a turtle's pace? The public is asking.”

He questioned, “It is incomprehensible that the Constitutional Court will rule on Prime Minister Han Duck-soo's impeachment trial next Monday. How many people will understand that Yoon Suk-yeol, who was promised to be prioritized, has not even had a ruling date set, yet they are ruling on Han Duck-soo first?”

Park stated, “Yoon Suk-yeol is a destroyer of the constitution who has undermined the constitution and democracy,” adding, “Instead of reflecting on his mistakes, he is violating the constitutional order with endless incitement.”

He also emphasized the accountability of Choi Sang-mok, the acting president and Minister of Economy and Finance.

Park said, “Choi Sang-mok is an obstacle to ending the civil unrest and normalizing the country,” adding that “the acting minister must take appropriate responsibility for violating the constitution. Although he was given the opportunity to respect the Constitutional Court's decision and fulfill the duty of upholding the constitution, Acting Choi ultimately rejected it.”

He pointed out, “Those who abandon the duty of upholding the constitution are unqualified to be public officials,” and said, “While being in a position that should restore the constitutional order destroyed by Yoon Suk-yeol, he rather obstructed the end of civil unrest and repeatedly engaged in actions that undermine the national constitution.”
