Choi Sang-mok, acting president and Minister of Economy and Finance, said on the 20th that the police should conduct a thorough investigation into the incident where members of the Democratic Party were hit by eggs during a press conference in front of the Constitutional Court, and he asked them to do their best to manage the scene of gatherings and protests to prevent such incidents from happening again.

The Democratic Party held a press conference in front of the Constitutional Court in Jongno, Seoul, on the morning of the same day, calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol. Representatives Baek Hye-ryun, Park Min-kyu, and Baek Seung-ah were hit by eggs thrown by supporters of President Yoon during the press conference.

The acting president noted, "The government is saddened and gravely concerned about this incident," adding, "Even if our thoughts differ, the way we express them must always be peaceful."
