On that day, former leader Han attended a youth talk show at Kyungpook National University themed "Let’s change the era, constitutional amendment" and met with reporters afterward, noting that "the TK (Daegu-Gyeongbuk) support rate was high in the public opinion poll earlier this month" and that "I and those who oppose impeachment among conservative supporters share a similar perspective in the larger context, thinking that it is patriotism, and that it is common in terms of making this country do well."

Former leader Han said, "I fully understand their feelings and respect their patriotism, and I also have come this far thinking about making this country do well and putting the people first to create a good country."

Regarding the lifting of the emergency martial law announced on Dec. 3 and his support for President Yoon's impeachment, he stated, "I thought that the values achieved by the Republic of Korea would collapse, and I only thought that this must be prevented. Even if I had to go back to that day, I would have stopped the martial law." He added, "There are some aspects of "I should have thought a little more, I should have persuaded a little more, I should have listened a little more," but I thought that "the people come first," and I thought that the pain or losses I would incur as a result were unavoidable."

He also mentioned, "During the decision-making process, especially those who support our conservatives kept coming to mind and appearing before my eyes, which was very painful and difficult. But still, considering the Republic of Korea, the people, and the future, I thought it was an inevitable decision, and I feel very sorry for the many people who were hurt and suffered during that process, and I still feel the same way."

On the decision of the Constitutional Court regarding President Yoon's impeachment trial, he said, "It is inappropriate for me to predict the Constitutional Court's decision," but "whether to accept it or not is not a matter of choice as the Republic of Korea stands on the basis of knowing the importance of order."

In response to Daegu Mayor Hong Jun-pyo's strong criticism, calling him "an inhuman person, a traitor," he said, "Sometimes when you do that, I might say something, but since you do it every day, I will not mention it separately, and I do not understand why people keep talking about someone who is said to be "finished.""
