On the 6th, the unit that caused an accidental strike in the Pocheon area of Gyeonggi Province has decided to resume flight training.

According to the Air Force on the 18th, the 38th Fighter Wing of the Air Force will resume flights at the Gunsan base on the 19th. This decision was made after Air Force Chief of Staff Lee Young-soo personally visited the unit to check on flight operations and command management status.

Earlier, the Air Force suspended flights for all aircraft, except for some essential forces, and conducted safety training for pilots in response to the accidental strike.

Meanwhile, the Air Force plans to conduct an air duty qualification review for the two KF-16 pilots involved in the accidental strike at the Air Force Headquarters on the 21st.

The review will assess whether the pilots can maintain their qualifications while continuing their duties, and based on the results, decisions may be made from suspension to dismissal of their pilot qualifications.
