On that day, Representative Ahn visited Mayor Park Hyung-jun of Busan at the Busan City Hall at 11 a.m. The two agreed to work together to resolve local issues, such as the passage of the special law for the creation of Busan as a global hub city and the transfer of the headquarters of the Industrial Bank to Busan, according to Ahn's office. Afterward, he visited the Busan City Council and spoke with local reporters.
Representative Ahn emphasized, "Since the public is divided equally into conservatives and progressives, what matters in the early election is centrist expansibility," adding, "Among the potential candidates from the ruling party currently discussed, I have the highest centrist expansibility.
He claimed, "If the impeachment is approved and an early election is determined, fluctuations in support rates among candidates will be significant," and stated, "If there needs to be a coalition among ruling party candidates, it should be centered around me, who has the highest centrist expansibility and candidate competitiveness.
He continued, "Since the '87 Constitution system' has seen five presidents imprisoned, it is a matter of the system rather than individuals. Unless a constitutional amendment is made, the next president, whoever it may be, cannot escape misfortune," and added, "If Lee Jae-myung, the representative of the Democratic Party, becomes president, he must pursue a constitutional amendment, which is at the center of the power structure reform, to avoid an unfortunate end.
Regarding former representative Han Dong-hoon, he assessed, "As a person who has benefited greatly from President Yoon Seok-yeol, his centrist expansibility is low." He added, "Former representative Han will make good judgments, but he must play a role that helps the party win, even if only a little.
In the afternoon of that day, Representative Ahn visited the site of Beomcheon Clinic, operated by his late father, Ahn Young-mo. His father worked as a 'local doctor' after opening the clinic in Beomcheon-dong, Jin-gu, Busan, in 1963 for 49 years.
He said, "Visiting the place where he served difficult neighbors throughout his life has become an opportunity to reflect on my father's original intentions and words," and added, "It has strengthened my resolve to serve the people and the country, rather than just preparing for an early election."
