A poll result released on the 27th showed that 54% agreed with the opinion that the Constitutional Court should 'uphold the impeachment and remove President Yoon Suk-yeol,' while 38% supported the opinion that 'the impeachment should be dismissed and he should return to his duties.'
The national indicator survey (NBS) conducted by Embrain, Kestat Research, Korea Research, and Hankook Research from the 24th to the 26th with 1,001 men and women over 18 years old showed the results of opinions for and against impeachment.
The opinions on upholding and dismissing the impeachment both decreased by 1 percentage point from last week.
To the question of what decision the Constitutional Court will make in the future, 64% responded that 'it will uphold the impeachment and remove President Yoon,' while 28% responded that 'it will dismiss the impeachment and allow him to return to his duties.'
The response that they trust the impeachment trial process of the Constitutional Court was 52%, while those who do not trust it accounted for 44%. Those who trust decreased by 3 percentage points from last week, while those who do not trust increased by 3 percentage points.
The response that President Yoon is 'doing well' in responding to the impeachment trial was 37%, while those saying 'he is doing poorly' accounted for 56%.
The NBS survey was conducted via telephone interviews using virtual mobile numbers (100%), with a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. The response rate was 18.8%.
