Choi Sang-mok, acting president and Minister of Strategy and Finance, held a foreign economic issues meeting on the 27th to review the recent outreach activities to the United States by the economic community and the government.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Jo Tae-yeol, Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups Oh Youngju, Minister of the Office for Government Policy Coordination Bang Gi-seon, Policy Chief of the Presidential Office Seong Tae-yoon, National Security Office Chief Shinwon, First Vice Minister of Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Park Seong-taek, and Chief Negotiator of Trade Negotiations Jeong In-gyo.
Acting President Choi, along with Minister Oh Youngju, reviewed the impact of the United States' tariff measures on exporting small and medium-sized enterprises and the current status of policy responses.
Choi urged, "The 'Emergency Export Measures Across Ministries' and the 'Export Support Plans for Small and Medium Enterprises' announced at the export policy meeting on the 18th should be implemented with special attention from the relevant ministries so that our small and medium enterprises can feel the support in a practical way."
