Chairperson Kwon met with reporters at the National Assembly that morning and commented on President Yoon's final argument from the previous day, stating, 'I believe it was right for the president to mention constitutional amendment, and I assess that he spoke with sincerity. He also apologized regarding the difficulties caused by the martial law.'

Regarding the background of the president's proposal for 'shortened term constitutional amendment,' Chairperson Kwon noted, 'The president has mentioned several times that he seriously considered the political system issues which led to the imposition of martial law. While undergoing constitutional trial, he felt that it was an essential task he must undertake as president and that there is a need to rectify the political system through constitutional amendment. It seems he included this in his final argument yesterday.'

He added, 'I hope that the Constitutional Court judges and the public can understand the president's sincerity, and on the other hand, I believe they will.'

Expectations for the dismissal of the impeachment trial were also expressed. Earlier, senior party members, including Kim Ki-hyun and Na Kyung-won, positively evaluated President Yoon's final argument and asserted that the impeachment should be dismissed.

In response, Chairperson Kwon stated, 'There will likely be various opinions within our party and among the public,' adding, 'I think it's inappropriate to specify, but naturally, as our party's president, I hope for a dismissal.'

Regarding the criticism that there was no 'integrated message,' he stated, 'It would be impossible to include everything in a final argument lasting about an hour. We talked about the problems in our society, and ultimately, considering that we contemplated constitutional amendment to achieve integration and development in society, I don't see the absence of the word integration as an issue.'

In response to voices indicating that there was no clear message of acceptance from the Constitutional Court, he stated, '(The president) has already conveyed a message of acceptance through his legal team.'

Earlier, President Yoon articulated in his final argument at the Constitutional Court that he would pursue political reform, including 'shortened term constitutional amendment,' and outlined his plans for governance upon resuming his duties. President Yoon expressed, 'I will not be fixated on the remaining term and will do my utmost to improve the 1987 system, considering constitutional amendment and political reform as my last mission.' He also mentioned, 'The president will focus on foreign relations and intends to delegate substantial authority on domestic issues to the Prime Minister.'
