Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, will meet with former Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum on the 24th.

According to the Democratic Party on the 17th, Lee plans to hold a dinner meeting with the former Prime Minister at a restaurant in Seoul.

The Democratic Party did not disclose specific topics for the meeting. However, Lee's meetings with former Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyung-soo, regarded as a potential opposition candidate, and former Prime Minister Kim are interpreted as part of his efforts for "intra-party unity."

Earlier, Lee met with former Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyung-soo on the 13th. At that time, the former governor said, "It's time to embrace those who have been hurt within the party." In response, Lee remarked, "Let’s unify generously to safeguard democracy."

Lee is also reportedly coordinating meetings with former Presidential Chief of Staff Im Jong-seok and former lawmaker Park Yong-jin.
