The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced on the 12th that it has posted a tender notice for the procurement of repair parts from abroad for 2025 on the Defense Electronic Procurement System website.
This year's procurement scale for repair parts from abroad reaches 1088 items and amounts to 98.82 billion won. Key items include parts for the Army AH-1S Cobra attack helicopter, 500MD reconnaissance helicopter, as well as parts for tanks, submarines, and transport aircraft.
DAPA issued a tender notice to enable participation not only from English-speaking countries but also from Spanish and French-speaking regions to achieve systematic supply chain management and ensure a smooth procurement of repair parts for aging equipment.
The tender period is until the 24th of next month. Results will be available for confirmation on the Defense Electronic Procurement System website after the 27th of next month.
Jeong Jae-jun, head of DAPA's Future Force Business Support Division, noted, "Through this tender, we will expand the supply area for repair parts to non-English-speaking regions and contribute to stable supply chain management with the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy."
