Chungcheongbuk-do is considering the introduction of a '4-day workweek system' aimed at pregnant women and public employees with children.
According to the Chungbuk Provincial Office on the 11th, the Chungbuk Provincial Government has begun reviewing a 4-day work week with 1 day of remote work for public employees who are pregnant and have children aged 0 to 3.
The Chungbuk Provincial Government is reportedly reviewing relevant provisions of the Public Officials Act to implement the system. They are also considering using systems such as flexible remote working or telecommuting.
This review of the introduction of the 4-day workweek system is the intention of Governor Kim Young-hwan of Chungbuk. During a meeting with expanded executives, Kim noted, 'Consider the introduction of a 4-day workweek system for pregnant women and public employees with children.'
Recently, some local governments, including Seoul, have implemented the 4-day workweek system, but it is reportedly the first time that pregnant women are included in the Daesang.
