Kwon said during a floor strategy meeting held at the National Assembly that "Due to the impact of the U.S. tariff policy, the KOSPI plummeted yesterday, and our financial market has been significantly shaken."

He pointed out, "The government must prepare trade measures to alleviate the financial market's instability, led by Acting President Choi Sang-mok, and minimize damage to our export corporations," adding, "It is a national misfortune that both the president and the prime minister are in a state of suspended duty due to impeachment amid the current emergency economic situation."

In particular, he said, "It was a serious self-harm to national interests that the enormous opposition leader Lee Jae-myung caused the suspension of duty for Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, who has rich economic and diplomatic networks with the U.S. as a former Deputy Prime Minister and Ambassador to the U.S."

Kwon criticized Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, for stating the previous day that "we should prepare bipartisanship for the global trade war," questioning, "Is it the right time to talk about 'preparation' when the fire is already at our feet?"

Kwon stated, "The Democratic Party is continuing its threats of impeachment against the acting president even at this moment," and added, "The starting point for bipartisan response is for the Democratic Party to stop its threats of impeachment against the economic control tower."

He emphasized, "The very fact that the Democratic Party continues to allude to the possibility of impeaching the acting president undermines the leadership of the economic control tower and exacerbates the instability of our economy," urging, "The Lee Jae-myung faction should stop the impeachment threats and empower the government to work for the people's livelihood."
