The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced on the 19th that it is recruiting prospective entrepreneurs and corporations in the marine and fisheries sector to receive support through the 'Regional Marine and Fisheries Startup Investment Support Center.'
According to the ministry, marine and fisheries corporations and prospective entrepreneurs located in seven regions (Busan, Jeju, North Gyeongsang, Gangwon, South Jeolla, South Chungcheong, North Jeolla) can participate in the center-specific recruitment until the end of February.
The marine and fisheries startup investment support project is a representative startup and job creation program that provides customized support at various growth stages to prospective entrepreneurs and corporations in the marine and fisheries sector. Each regional startup investment support center supports a diverse range of marine and fisheries corporations, from seafood processing companies to pharmaceutical and cosmetic development companies utilizing marine biological resources.
Each center provides multifaceted support tailored to the growth stage of corporations, including startup, business management, and marketing training, prototype development, market exploration, and investment attraction. Last year, it supported 38 startups and assisted over 400 corporations, creating more than 1,600 jobs.
The seven centers nationwide will conduct a call for participating corporations until the end of February. Corporations wishing to participate in the project can check the recruitment announcement on each center's website.
Minister Kang Do-hyung noted, "We plan to continuously expand the marine and fisheries startup investment support project so that all marine and fisheries corporations across the country can achieve their dream of startup investment."
