A temporary high-speed train will operate for the families of the victims of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident at Muan Airport and for government, airport, and airline officials.
Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) announced on the 29th that a special KTX temporary train will be operated to support the families of the victims of the Jeju Air 7C2216 passenger plane accident that occurred around 9:03 a.m. at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province.
Eligible passengers for the temporary train can use it free of charge, and connecting buses will run from Naju and Mokpo stations. The southbound train departs from Seoul Station at 3 p.m. and stops at Gwangmyeong, Osong, Iksan, Naju, and Mokpo stations. The northbound train departs from Mokpo Station at 8:30 p.m. and stops at Naju, Iksan, Osong, and Seoul stations.
Korail said, "The bereaved families related to the passenger plane accident can use the temporary train free of charge," and noted, "We will actively operate additional temporary trains if necessary."
Meanwhile, Suseo High-Speed Rail (SRT) operator SR also announced that the families of the victims can use the SRT Honam Line trains departing from and arriving at Mokpo and Naju stations free of charge for two days until the 30th.
