Song Mi-reong, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, convened an emergency meeting with related agencies on the 14th immediately after the passage of the impeachment motion against President Yoon Suk-yeol at the National Assembly plenary session, instructing a thorough review of winter disaster response and agricultural product supply situation.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs on the 15th, Minister Song held an emergency meeting at 8:30 p.m. the previous day with ministry executives and related agencies, including the Rural Development Administration and the Korea Forest Service.
At the meeting, Minister Song said, "Please do your best in your respective positions to ensure there is no inconvenience to people's lives," and "promptly support those affected by heavy snowfall, and thoroughly respond to winter disasters such as cold waves."
Minister Song further emphasized, "To stabilize agricultural and food prices, related agencies must collaborate and thoroughly inspect the supply situation of agricultural products, ensuring there are no issues."
