[Photo] Hwang Jae-gyun lifted on teammates' shoulders

The retirement ceremony for KT Wiz championship captain Hwang Jae-gyun was held on the 13th at Suwon KT Wiz Park.

Registered on a special retired-player roster that day, Hwang Jae-gyun appeared at the plate as a pinch hitter for shortstop Gwon Dong-jin with one out and no runners in the bottom of the sixth, with KT leading 5-2. It was his first appearance in 345 days since the game against the Hanwha Eagles in Suwon on Oct. 3 last year. Not only the home KT fans but even the visiting Lotte fans applauded his appearance, and before stepping into the box, Hwang Jae-gyun removed his helmet and bowed toward third and first base in return.
