[Photo] Ryu Ji-hyun leads team to WBC quarterfinals for first time in 17 years

The Korea national team that competed in the World Baseball Classic (WBC) returned from Miami via Incheon International Airport on the 16th.

Korea recorded two wins and two losses (2nd in the group) against Japan, Taiwan, Australia and the Czech Republic in Group C of the group stage, advancing to the quarterfinals for the first time in 17 years since 2009. However, it ended the tournament with a 0-10 walk-off loss by a seventh-inning mercy rule to the Dominican Republic in the quarterfinals.
