[Photo] Manager Ryu Ji-hyun leads team to WBC quarterfinals for first time in 17 years

The Korea national team that competed in the World Baseball Classic (WBC) returned from Miami through Incheon International Airport on the 16th.

Korea went 2-2 (second in the group) in Group C pool play against Japan, Taiwan, Australia and the Czech Republic, advancing to the quarterfinals for the first time in 17 years since 2009. However, it ended the tournament with a 0-10 walk-off mercy-rule loss in the seventh inning against the Dominican Republic in the quarterfinals.
