[Photo] Ryu Ji-hyun Leads Team to WBC Quarterfinals for First Time in 17 Years

The Korea national team that competed in the World Baseball Classic (WBC) returned from Miami via Incheon International Airport on the 16th.

Korea went 2-2 (second in the group) against Japan, Taiwan, Australia and the Czech Republic in Group C of the group stage and reached the quarterfinals for the first time in 17 years since 2009. However, the team ended the tournament with a 0-10, seventh-inning mercy-rule walk-off loss to the Dominican Republic in the quarterfinals.
