On the 9th at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, the World Baseball Classic (WBC) group stage Group C game between Korea and Australia was held.

In Group C, Japan secured first place in the group with three wins and advanced to the quarterfinals. Australia is 2-1, Taiwan is 2-2, Korea is 1-2, and the Czech Republic has three losses.

For Korea's WBC national team to advance to the quarterfinals, it must beat Australia by at least five runs while allowing two runs or fewer.
