On the 9th at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, the World Baseball Classic (WBC) group stage Group C game between Korea and Australia took place.

In Group C, Japan secured first place with three wins and advanced to the quarterfinals. Australia is 2-1, Taiwan is 2-2, Korea is 1-2, and the Czech Republic has three losses.

For the Korea WBC national team to advance to the quarterfinals, it must beat Australia by at least five runs while allowing two runs or fewer.
