On the 8th at Tokyo Dome in Japan, the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC) first-round Group C pool play game between Korea and Taiwan was held.

Korea suffered a narrow 8-6 loss to Japan the day before (on the 7th). Having earlier beaten the Czech Republic 11-4, Korea moved to 1-1 and must go all out in the remaining games against Taiwan and Australia.

With two outs in the bottom of the first inning, Korea's Lee Jung-hoo is ruled on a check swing. Mar. 8, 2026
