The Korea national team lost to Taiwan once again after an extra-inning battle.

Korea lost 5-4 after 10 innings in an extra-inning battle against Taiwan in the Group C third game of the first round of the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC) at Tokyo Dome in Japan on Mar. 8. With the loss, Korea fell to 1-2, while Taiwan improved to 2-2 to keep its last hope alive.

With one out and a runner on third in the bottom of the 10th inning, Korea's Kim Juwon was tagged out at home by Taiwan's Lin on Kim Hye-seong's grounder to first. Mar. 8, 2026
