Korea lost 6-8 to Japan in a Group C first-round game of the "2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC)" at Tokyo Dome in Japan on Mar. 7. With the result, Korea failed to end its 11-game losing streak against Japan. Korea moved to 1-1 in group play, while Japan improved to 2-0.
