Korea lost 6-8 to Japan in a Group C first-round game of the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC) at Tokyo Dome on Mar. 7. With the loss, Korea failed to end its 11-game skid against Japan. Korea moved to 1-1 in group play, while Japan improved to 2-0.
