On the 2nd at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan, an official World Baseball Classic (WBC) practice game was held between the Japan national baseball team and the Orix Buffaloes.

After a practice game with the Hanshin Tigers on the 3rd, the Japan national team will head to Tokyo and play its first game against Taiwan on the 6th, followed by Korea on the 7th, Australia on the 8th, and the Czech Republic on the 10th.
