On the 2nd at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan, an official World Baseball Classic (WBC) tune-up game between the Japan national baseball team and the Orix Buffaloes was held.

After a tune-up game against the Hanshin Tigers on the 3rd, the Japan national baseball team will head to Tokyo and play Taiwan on the 6th in its first game, Korea on the 7th, Australia on the 8th, and the Czech Republic on the 10th.
