On the 28th, a practice game was held at Okuragahama Soho Stadium in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, between the SSG Landers and the second team of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of Nippon Professional Baseball.

SSG is 0-1 in practice games at its spring camp in Miyazaki, Japan. On the 25th, with roughly first-team-and-a-half–level players taking the field against the SoftBank Hawks' second team, SSG lost 1-9.
