The first feature-length debut work "Nuruk" by Jang Dong-yoon, who shifted from actor to director, tells a special story that unfolds when an eighteen-year-old girl, "Daseul," the daughter of a famed local brewery known only to neighborhood folks and a lover of makgeolli, senses one day that the taste of makgeolli has changed and sets out to find the missing nuruk, the main ingredient of makgeolli.
