The funeral mass and farewell ceremony for the late Ahn Sung-ki were solemnly held on the 9th at Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul.
Ahn Sung-ki died at age 74 on the 5th at 9 a.m. in the intensive care unit of Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with family members by his side as he was receiving treatment. It was six days after he was taken to the hospital unconscious on the 30th of last month after collapsing at home with food stuck in his throat.
At the farewell ceremony, Jung Woosung and Lee Jung-jae, heads of Artist Company, the late actor's last agency, each carried the portrait and the decoration as they sent him off. The pallbearers were Sul Kyung-gu, Park Cheol-min, Yoo Ji-tae, Park Hae-il, Cho Woo-jin, and Ju Jihoon.
