[OSEN] The funeral mass and farewell ceremony for the late Ahn Sung-ki were solemnly held at Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul on the 9th.
Ahn Sung-ki died at age 74 on the 5th at 9 a.m. in the intensive care unit at Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with his family by his side as he was receiving treatment. It was six days after he collapsed at home on the 30th with food stuck in his throat, was taken to a hospital, and had been treated while unconscious.
At the farewell ceremony, Jung Woosung and Lee Jung-jae, heads of Artist Company, the deceased's last agency, each carried the portrait and the medal to bid farewell. The pallbearers were Sul Kyung-gu, Park Cheol-min, Yoo Ji-tae, Park Hae-il, Jo Woo-jin, and Ju Jihoon.
