The funeral mass and farewell ceremony for the late Ahn Sung-ki were solemnly held on the 9th at Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul.
Ahn Sung-ki died at age 74 on the 5th at 9 a.m. in the intensive care unit of Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, while receiving treatment with his family at his side. It was six days after he collapsed at home on the 30th with food stuck in his throat and was transported to a hospital, where he was treated in an unconscious state.
At the farewell ceremony, the heads of his final agency, Artist Company, Jung Woosung and Lee Jung-jae, carried the portrait and the decoration to see him off. The pallbearers were Sul Kyung-gu, Park Cheol-min, Yoo Ji-tae, Park Hae-il, Jo Woo-jin, and Ju Jihoon.
