The funeral mass and farewell ceremony for the late Ahn Sung-ki were solemnly held on the 9th at Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul.
Ahn Sung-ki died at age 74 at 9 a.m. on the 5th at the intensive care unit of Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, while receiving treatment as family members looked on. It was six days after he was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state for treatment after collapsing at home on the 30th of last month with food stuck in his throat.
At the farewell ceremony, the last agency head of the deceased, Jung Woosung and Lee Jung-jae of Artist Company, each carried the portrait and the medal to see him off. Pallbearing was handled by Sul Kyung-gu, Park Cheol-min, Yoo Ji-tae, Park Hae-il, Cho Woo-jin, and Ju Jihoon.
