[OSEN] The funeral mass and farewell ceremony for the late Ahn Sung-ki were solemnly held on the 9th at Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul.
Ahn Sung-ki died at age 74 at 9 a.m. on the 5th in the intensive care unit at Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with his family by his side as he was receiving treatment. It was six days after he was taken to a hospital and treated in an unconscious state, after collapsing at home with food stuck in his throat on the 30th of last month.
At the farewell ceremony, Jung Woosung and Lee Jung-jae, heads of Artist Company, the deceased's last agency, each carried the portrait and the medal to see him off. The pallbearing was handled by Sul Kyung-gu, Park Cheol-min, Yoo Ji-tae, Park Hae-il, Cho Woo-jin and Ju Jihoon.
