[OSEN] "National actor" Ahn Sung-ki died on the 5th. Age 74.
On the 5th, Ahn Sung-ki's agency Artist Company said, "Actor Ahn Sung-ki died at 9 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2026, at age 74."
The funeral will be held as a film industry funeral under the auspices of the Shinyoungkyun Arts and Culture Foundation and The Korea Film Actors Association, with Honorary Funeral Committee Chair Shin Young-kyun; Director Bae Chang-ho; The Korea Film Actors Association Chair Lee Gap-seong; Shinyoungkyun Arts and Culture Foundation Acting Director Shin Eon-sik; and Korea Film Professionals Association Chair Yang Yoon-ho, a total of four, serving as co-chairs to conduct the funeral. In addition, colleagues at Artist Company and junior film figures Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woosung will serve as pallbearers to see the deceased on the final journey.
Ahn Sung-ki's wake will be set up in Room 31 of the funeral hall at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, and the funeral will be held at 6 a.m. on the 9th. The burial site is Byeolgeurida, Yangpyeong.
