[OSEN] "National actor" Ahn Sung-ki died on the 5th. He was 74.
On the 5th, Ahn Sung-ki's agency Artist Company said, "Actor Ahn Sung-ki died at 9 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2026, at age 74."
The funeral will be held as a film industry funeral under the auspices of the Shin Young-kyun Arts and Culture Foundation and The Korea Film Actors Association, with honorary funeral committee chair Shin Young-kyun; director Bae Chang-ho; Lee Gap-seong, chair of The Korea Film Actors Association; Shin Eon-sik, acting head of the Shin Young-kyun Arts and Culture Foundation; and Yang Yoon-ho, chair of the Korea Film People's Association—four people serving as co-chairs—to oversee the proceedings. In addition, colleagues from Artist Company and junior film figures Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woosung will serve as pallbearers to see the deceased on his final path.
Ahn Sung-ki's mortuary will be set up in Room 31 of the funeral hall at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, and the funeral procession will be held at 6 a.m. on the 9th. The burial site is Byeolgeurida-da in Yangpyeong.
