The Game Culture Foundation said on the 10th that the game culture festival "GXG 2026" will be held from the 11th to the 12th around Pangyo Station Square in Seongnam, Gyeonggi.
Before the main event, a pre-event "GXG Busking Time" will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. that day on Pangyo Content Street. Five bands made up of people working in the game industry will take the stage.
On the first day of the main event, the 11th, a celebratory opening performance by the hip-hop duo Dynamic Duo will be held from 6 p.m. on the main stage at Pangyo Station Central Square. It will be followed by the finals of the game music competition "The 3rd GXG SOUND TRACK."
On the 12th, starting at 12 p.m., the "Illusta Fest Stage" will feature the "Korea subculture contest cosplay dance finals," the "indie idol showcase," and "Kkotgami's game music LIVE." At 3:30 p.m., an awards ceremony will be held for the "AI Game Sound Design Challenge (AI GSDC)," a competition for creating game sounds using artificial intelligence (AI).
The same day from 5 p.m., the "GXG Gala Concert" will take place on the main stage at Pangyo Station Central Square. Ensemble Heal, a Neople cello ensemble of performers with disabilities, and the National Gugak Center Creative Orchestra, which reinterprets game music with Korean traditional music, will perform, and teams that advanced to the GXG SOUND TRACK finals will also take the stage.
At the venue, there will also be programs where visitors can experience games and cosplay firsthand. At the "GXG Play Lounge" in Pangyo Station North Plaza A, visitors can try console games, and at the brand experience zone, they can try character drawing, voice acting dubbing, AI-based game sound production, and board games. In addition, visitors can receive prizes by collecting stamps through participation in key festival programs.
