Krafton said on the 8th that PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS will collaborate with the anime "Jujutsu Kaisen."
Through an update on the 10th, spaces and production elements inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen will be added to parts of Erangel, the signature map of BATTLEGROUNDS. Users can experience the collaboration content as they move and fight.
Costumes and evolving weapon skins themed after original Jujutsu Kaisen characters will also be introduced. During the collaboration period, an in-game event will run where users can complete missions and obtain items. The event period is from the 10th of this month to Feb. 14 on PC, and from the 17th of this month to Feb. 22 on consoles.
Marking its 9th anniversary this year, BATTLEGROUNDS surpassed 1.3 million peak concurrent users in March. Krafton plans to expand collaborations with global intellectual property (IP) and link the buzz and traffic of BATTLEGROUNDS to growth across the PUBG IP franchise.
A Krafton official said, "This collaboration was designed to expand the accumulated play experience of BATTLEGROUNDS and allow users to feel immersed," adding, "We will continue to deliver differentiated fun through various collaboration content."
