Big data analytics artificial intelligence (AI) corporations S2W said on the 8th that it launched an autonomous AI agent specialized for criminal investigations, "DRI (Deep Research Investigator)."
DRI is installed on S2W's security AI platform XAVIS. It links in real time the data S2W directly collected from the dark web and deep web, Telegram, and hacking forums to analyze cyber threats and provide information needed for investigations.
When a user asks a question in natural language, the AI agent selects the necessary information and combines detection and analysis tools to respond. It can perform data leak monitoring, threat actor profiling, virtual asset network analysis, and cross-analysis of heterogeneous channel data. It also automatically generates investigation reports by comprehensively analyzing the activity history of anonymous accounts, fund transaction histories, and attack techniques.
DRI applies retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technology to display the original sources for each answer and allow verification of the basis for judgments. For critical judgments, it adds a final human confirmation step, and it is designed to record the entire process from search to drawing conclusions so the results can be verified.
S2W plans to introduce DRI at Cyber Summit Korea (CSK) 2026, a global cyber security event to be held for three days at COEX in Gangnam District, Seoul, starting on the 16th.
Lee Jaeyoung, head of S2W's Security Division, said, "With DRI, investigators can leave tedious, simple tasks to the agent and focus on higher-level decision-making, such as setting the overall direction of an investigation based on the context of a case," and added, "We plan to apply the AI agent technologies accumulated during DRI's development to our other product lines, such as Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) solutions and industry-specific AI platforms, to enhance scalability and versatility."
