MegazoneCloud said on the 7th that it has begun building Hanmi Pharmaceutical's quality assurance (QA) support artificial intelligence (AI) agent, "Hanmi Q-Agent."
Hanmi Q-Agent is a system that searches and summarizes more than 4,000 quality documents held by Hanmi Pharmaceutical and cross-checks them against the latest regulations. It is designed to identify and correct in advance any document content that does not comply with newly introduced or revised rules. The two companies aim to cut related work time by more than 40% and shift from fixing issues after inspections to establishing a prevention-centered quality management system.
MegazoneCloud will apply retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technology to its self-developed enterprise AI operating system, "AIR Studio." For the answer generation engine, it will use Upstage's domestic large language model "Solar" and fine-tune it to comply with good manufacturing practice (GMP) standards. Reflecting the characteristics of pharmaceutical quality documents that include tables, figures, and formulas and mix Korean and English, it will also improve answer accuracy and traceability.
The project will be promoted as part of the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA)'s "AX One-Stop Voucher Support Project." Hanmi Pharmaceutical will oversee the project, while MegazoneCloud will handle AI implementation and model fine-tuning. Samsung SDS will build the infrastructure, and SelectStar will be responsible for data processing and third-party verification. The four companies held a consortium launch ceremony on the 28th of last month.
