On the 4th (local time), at Hall 6.2 of Messe Berlin in Berlin, Germany, where Europe's largest home appliance and information technology (IT) show, "IFA 2026," is being held. Stepping into Xiaomi's booth, what first caught the eye were washing machines and dryers filling the walls and vacuum cleaners lined up on the floor. A few steps farther were artificial intelligence (AI) glasses, smartphones, and wearables, and deeper inside were in-house chips, the Humanoid Robot "CyberOne," and even the electric vehicle "SU7 Ultra." It felt less like a smartphone maker's booth and more like an entire living space and mobility setup, along with personal devices, transplanted whole.
This is Xiaomi's first year participating in IFA. The booth, spanning more than 3,300 square meters, is the largest standalone exhibition space Xiaomi has ever built overseas. It packed the space with more than 380 products and technologies. The exhibition theme is "The surging wave of AI." Having expanded from smartphones into home appliances and automobiles, Xiaomi focused on presenting this as a single ecosystem called "Human×Car×Home" to the European market.
◇ When you walk in the door, the TV and air conditioner turn on at the same time
The exhibition is divided into ▲ AI Tomorrow ▲ AI Today ▲ Human×Car×Home product portfolio. At the center of the space showing the "future" stood the electric concept hypercar "Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo," while the area showing the "present" was set up like a real home with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and study. Instead of displaying cars, appliances, and smartphones separately, they were arranged along a single daily flow.
AI Today simulated returning home after work to show the convenience enabled by Xiaomi's technology. When entering the front door, the TV, air conditioner, air purifier, and floor lamp turned on and the curtains closed. When cooking began and the stove turned on, the range hood activated automatically, and in the evening, a single "movie mode" command turned off the lights and turned on the TV. In the bedroom, when picking up a book, AI inferred the intent to read without a separate command, adjusting the mattress angle and operating the air conditioner and air purifier. Rather than turning each product on and off individually, multiple devices move in sync to match a single situation.
A Xiaomi official said, "What matters is not having more devices, but AI naturally linking multiple devices and spaces to reduce the steps users need to operate them themselves." The foundation of the linkage is the integrated operating system "Xiaomi HyperOS." More than 1.16 billion devices worldwide are connected to the Xiaomi ecosystem.
The home appliance zone was also large in scale. The smart home brand Mijia has more than 130 product categories and over 2,000 product lines. Washing machines and dryers, refrigerators, robot vacuums, and air conditioners were densely displayed along the walls and aisles. Standouts included the "Mijia Tri-Drum Washer Dryer Pro 12 kg," which separates clothes into three independent drums for washing and drying, and an air conditioner that uses millimeter-wave radar to detect a person's position and redirect airflow.
In the personal devices zone, "Xiaomi AI Glasses," smartphones, and smartwatches were placed side by side, with TVs continuing behind them. A Xiaomi official said, "Mijia is the core brand responsible for 'Home' in Human×Car×Home," adding, "Our goal is to add intelligence to traditional appliances and redefine the very experience at home."
◇ Behind the appliances are in-house AI chips… up to humanoids and EVs
Xiaomi's in-house "XRING O3·O100·D100" semiconductors are also key exhibits. The O3 is a flagship AI system-on-chip (SoC), the O100 is an AI accelerator, and the D100 is a 3-nanometer (nm) chip for intelligent driving. Xiaomi said the O100 provides 16 times the memory bandwidth of typical flagship smartphone chips. The O100 and D100 have completed development and verification and are slated to be built into products starting in 2027. Xiaomi also displayed the foldable smartphone "Xiaomi 18 Fold" equipped with the O3. By showcasing smartphone, AI compute, and automotive chips together, the company signaled a direction of expanding the scope of its in-house semiconductors across the entire ecosystem.
The Humanoid Robot also greeted visitors at the booth. Facing people, it moved its arms and fingers to make a "finger heart," played "rock-paper-scissors," and interacted in various ways. Xiaomi is also testing this robot on nut-tightening tasks at its electric vehicle factory. Over roughly four months of testing, the task success rate improved from about 90% to 98%, according to Xiaomi.
From 2026 to 2030, Xiaomi plans to invest more than 200 billion yuan (about 43.8 trillion won) in research and development (R&D) for AI and operating systems, in-house semiconductors, smart electric vehicles, robots, and smart manufacturing. Lu Weibing, partner and president of Xiaomi Group, said in the IFA 2026 keynote, "Human means a personal computing center, Car means an intelligent mobility space, and Home means a smart living space," adding, "Xiaomi is the first to complete a full Human×Car×Home ecosystem that covers core technologies, research and development, manufacturing, and distribution, and all elements are now organically integrated."
