Minister Carsten Bültger of the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport and Berlin Mayor Stefan Evers on the 4th (local time) visited the LG Electronics pavilion at the "IFA 2026" in Berlin, Europe's largest home appliance and information technology (IT) trade show. Rolf Lindner, CEO of IFA Management, and other officials from IFA and the city of Berlin also joined. The LG Electronics booth was the final stop on the official IFA opening show floor tour held that day.
After looking around the "LG AI Orchestra" at the entrance to the show floor, Mayor Evers said he was "deeply impressed by the booth and the CLOiD production." He also asked specific questions about detailed functions, such as whether the humanoid home robot "LG CLOiD" can fold laundry and whether a separate center is operated to train the robot.
LG CLOiD is a home robot under development to perform housework such as laundry and kitchen tasks using two arms and hands. At the entrance to the exhibition hall, LG Electronics staged CLOiD conducting home appliances, TVs, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) products like an orchestra to express its "AI home" vision, in which AI coordinates devices and spaces in the home.
At this exhibition, LG Electronics presented "Innovation in tune with you" as its theme, showcasing AI home, OLED TVs, the LG Signature lineup, and other home appliances optimized for Europe's residential environment to improve space and energy efficiency. After touring the entire pavilion, Mayor Evers said, "It was the perfect booth to cap off the IFA 2026 tour."
