The Ministry of Science and ICT said on the 3rd that it selected the Naver Cloud consortium as the final implementing agency for the project to develop a cyber security–specialized artificial intelligence (AI) foundation model.
The Ministry of Science and ICT conducted presentation evaluations for two bidders (consortia), including Naver Cloud and SK Telecom, that participated in the call. Naver Cloud received high marks for forming a large-scale industry–academia–research consortium with strong technical capabilities and development experience, and for aspects such as configuring multiple agents and a harness.
The Ministry of Science and ICT plans to support Naver Cloud with a total of 256 B200 graphics processing units (GPUs) for 10 months starting this month (support for five months, with the remaining five months depending on an interim evaluation).
The Ministry of Science and ICT plans to sign an agreement with Naver Cloud this month and begin developing a cyber security–specialized model through GPU support.
