Microsoft (MS) disclosed quarterly revenue for its Azure cloud service institutional sector for the first time.
According to Reuters on Aug. 3, Azure revenue for MS in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 (April–June) was $29.4 billion (about 39.9 trillion won). For all of fiscal 2026, it was $101.9 billion (about 138.28 trillion won).
Azure revenue for April–June is lower than AWS ($42.2 billion) and higher than Google Cloud ($24.8 billion).
MS said it will change its existing three business institutional sectors to two.
The first "agent and infrastructure" business institutional sector consists of cloud computing services, artificial intelligence (AI)-based software revenue, and traditional enterprise software revenue.
The second "devices and consumer" institutional sector consists of Windows operating system (OS), Xbox gaming business, the Bing search engine, and LinkedIn advertising revenue.
MS Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella said, "AI is changing what we build and how we operate," and "it is blurring the lines between products and reshaping business models."
